Day of the Dead Portable Ofrendas
Times: 9:30-12noon For kids and families. Children age 7 and younger should come with an adult. This workshop will allow participants to learn about the making of ofrendas (shrines, memorials, sculptures made to honor or remember someone special) in Mexico and Latin America for the Day of the Dead celebration. And then- create your own! The workshop will provide materials for constructing a portable, movable ofrenda that can be carried in the Procession for Missoula's Festival of the Dead, or can be set up at home. Contemporary Leather Journals for Adults
Times: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm This workshop produces a leather bound journal with painted rag paper pages. It could be used as a travel journal, quote book, or memorabilia keepsake.
