Marjorie Taylor, Thinking of Lewis, 1970, watercolor.MAM's exhibition program is a broad landscape that serves and represents diverse audiences and creative interests.

Each year, 20 to 25 solo and group exhibitions rotate through six state-of-the-art galleries. MAM organizes and rents exhibits, develops programs through community partnerships, and welcomes the opportunity to review exhibition proposals.

MAM does not accept commissions on the sale of artwork but in support of artists, will put collectors in touch with artists or artists' representatives.Brad Allen, Spiderhouse, 2010, cast iron.

James Castle, from Icehouse to Early Attic: Art and Books
MAM is excited to be showing the work of self-taught artist James Castle in the exhibit From Icehouse to Early Attic. Castle lived and made art his entire life in Idaho. These rare original books that he made from hand with found materials are incredibly telling of an obscure genius' life that may otherwise have remained unknown forever.

From Icehouse to Early Attic is curated by Tom Trusky, a leading scholar on the life and work of James Castle. He will be giving a Lecture on Wednesday, November 15.

Trimpin: Sheng High
Sheng High is an installation of thirty strategically placed bamboo pipes with precisely tuned reed components that comprise over three-octave range of sounds. Idaho artist Stephanie Bacon has participated in over 40 exhibitions, curatorial and public art projects, public presentations and articles. Her artwork bridges graphics, typography and installation, incorporating graphics and type into larger landscapes. Stephanie has taken care to avoid the strict literal presentation of text and images and has jumped to a layered approach to painting and installation.

Suzy Holt: Burnt Gulch Revelations
This series of photographs by Suzy Holt was taken over the course of seasons since the Cave Gulch fire in 2000. An Artist-Forest-Community residency award in 2003 provided a National Forest cabin in the Big Belt Mountains for the artist to create this body of work. To the artist the work represents more than the depiction of destruction and resurrection, but confirms the beauty in the whole of life's story.
