Work_Space: Staff Selections From The MAM Collection

Recently, curators have become intermediaries who help break down institutional barriers and share authority to open up the presentation and interpretation of exhibits, collection, and histories. To this end, this exhibition is a presentation and interpretation of the MAM Collection, selected by the staff. Every single staff member was invited to choose1-3 pieces artworks in the MAM Collection and make relationships between them. Our selections represent all aspects of MAM’s operations—education, registration, communication, membership, marketing, facilities, engagement, visitor services, security, advancement, leadership, and even curatorial! MAM staff are united in our efforts to provide dynamic cultural and visitor experiences, cultivate a positive work environment, champion Race, Equity, Access, Diversity, and Inclusion (READI) efforts, encourage generosity and relationship building, provide accessible opportunities for connection and growth, and recognize and celebrate museum employees!
