Celebrating International Women’s Day

Seeds of Strength: A Ritual for Dreams and Growth

In honor of International Women’s Day, this workshop invites participants who identify as women, young women, or girls to celebrate their dreams, hopes, and resilience. Create your very own archetypal imagery and develop this visual story for your future. Enjoy reflective exercises and a symbolic seed exchange. Share intentions, connect with one another, and take-home seeds to plant and nurture along with their original artwork. A space to honor your vision, celebrate courage, and step boldly into the year ahead.

Workshop is capped at 25 participants. Please register in advance to save your spot(s). Drop-ins are welcome if space is available.

Please note: Kids under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. If kids ages 11-18 attend without an adult, MAM is not responsible for their whereabouts if they leave the workshop or museum.

ABOUT EARTH WITHIN GIRLS:

Earth Within Girls (EWG) was founded in 2020 and works to inspire adolescent girls and women to connect their internal cycles to the natural environment by providing accessible, prevention-based cycle education so they can thrive. Many girls and nonbinary people are accustomed to feeling shame and stigma around their cycles and are unaware of how to use natural remedies to find more balance. The majority of what we learn doesn’t address positive body awareness, hormonal balance or holistic approaches to menstruation.

Melissa Lafontaine founded Earth Within Girls, inspired by her own journey of healing hormonal imbalances through plant knowledge and self-care. With a Master’s in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana, she focused on plant-based education, leading to EWG’s first guardian-daughter workshop on International Women’s Day. Now expanding her expertise through functional hormonal health coaching with Cycle Seeds, Melissa is dedicated to helping female bodied youth build confidence and knowledge around their hormonal health.
