The MAM curatorial team welcomes the opportunity to review exhibition proposals from individual artists, collaborative groups, or guest curators. Proposals are reviewed on a regular basis by museum staff across a broad range of departments.

To submit a proposal, please include a cover letter, artist statement, curricula vita or resume, and 15–20 images. In the cover letter, please emphasize the project’s connection to MAM’s programming mission, propose a specific exhibition, and tell us about it—What do you want it to do? What will it look like? What is it about? If appropriate, describe possible ancillary programs that you may be able to provide, similar past experiences, and offer references. Finally, describe any special circumstances or provisions. Please limit artist statements to a single paragraph that describes an overview of your general approach, process, concept, and how the process supports the concept.

Proposals can be mailed to the MAM physical address, c/o Brandon Reintjes, Senior Curator, or emailed to him.

In addition, MAM accepts submissions by a jury to the Annual Art Auction, a gala event that takes place the first Saturday in February every year. Please check back in the fall for submission details.
