Summer AmeriCorps Position at Missoula Art Museum
This full-time, 10-week summer position at the Missoula Art Museum (MAM) is for college students enrolled in a university or college. The role is part of the Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) AmeriCorps program, requiring a minimum of 300 service hours between June 2 – August 11, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist MAM’s Education Team in coordinating and implementing three signature summer programs:
ARTreach: Brings arts programming to under-resourced children and teens.
Summer Art Camps: Weekly art camps for children ages 6-12.
Teen Art Project (TAP): An 8-week public art and leadership program for high school students.
Provide mentorship and leadership to youth participants.
Support college-readiness initiatives (e.g., campus visits, scholarship workshops).
Work with the University of Montana (UM) to organize service opportunities for TAP students.
Benefits & Compensation:
Living Allowance: $2,823 (paid bi-weekly, subject to taxes).
Education Award: $1,459.26 (upon completing 300 service hours, can be used for tuition or student loans).
Professional development, networking, and statewide service experience.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
At least 17 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Current college student with experience working with youth.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Must pass a criminal background check.
