Collections and Digitization Intern: Applications due Aug. 29.

MAM was awarded grant funds through the Foundation for Montana History to support documenting institutional history through the digitization of archival materials and creation of digital records of collection objects. MAM seeks an intern to digitize archived institutional history, and to create associated metadata. This position may be ideal for a highly motivated undergraduate or graduate student with interest in public history, archives, library science, museum studies, and art history, but student status is not required. Compensation: $2,500.00

Schedule: This is a part-time temporary internship. September 9−November 29, 2024: Two days per week, five hours daily (10 hours per week, 120 hours total).

Marketing  Communications Specialist

MAM’s Marketing & Communications Specialist will be responsible for building awareness of the museum’s programs, exhibitions, events and campaigns through digital and printed media, strategizing, developing collateral with MAM’s designer, and ensuring a streamlined and integrated approach to all the museum’s external relations. Develops and executes comprehensive marketing, public relations, and communications plan, with specific plans being developed for major projects, in conjunction with staff and any marketing and communications partners to inform patrons, the public, and to develop new audiences.
