Saturday Free Family Workshops – Birdie Hall

December 10

Teachers: Birdie Hall
Start Time: 11:00 AM
End Time: 12:30 PM

Expressing the Spiritual in Art

Join exhibiting artist Birdie Hall in creating your own abstract artwork. We will explore the relationship between emotions, color, composition, and apply each student’s spiritual or conceptual interests into a uniquely personal and visually expressive work of art. In doing this, students will reflect on the restorative power of artmaking while reclaiming materials, images, and archetypes.

The whole family is invited to make art together in these artist-led, free workshops. Each of these fall workshops will be taught by three exhibiting artists from MAM’s exhibition, Imagining the Sacred. Each artist will guide participants through the show and create artwork based on what they see. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a spot. Children under age 7 should be accompanied by an adult. All materials are provided—just bring an open mind.
