Teen Art Project: Art And Poetry

Meets weekly on Wednesdays for 2 months. // Ages 12 to 18.

Young poets and artists! Join teaching artist Jenny Montgomery to explore the intersection and overlap of visual art and poetry. Draw inspiration from storytelling, broadsides, ekphrastic poetry, symbolic language, surrealism, tarot and oracle cards, and assemblage. Explore MAM collection works that incorporate art and text. Help curate student work for an exhibition in the Lelia Autio Education Gallery at MAM in late May.
