An Evening Of Poetry With Sean Hill
March 25
5:00 - 7:00 PM
Join us for an evening with acclaimed poet Sean Hill. Through a reading and conversation, Hill will share selections from his newest multi-genre collection, The Negroes Send Their Love, a work rooted in shared history, lived experience, and speculative futures. The collection explores how we shape identity through our relationships with history, community, our ancestors, our children, and ourselves, while reflecting on our connections to the natural world and the complexities of human nature.
Sean Hill is the author of Dangerous Goods, Blood Ties & Brown Liquor, and The Negroes Send Their Love. His work has appeared in Callaloo, Harvard Review, Poetry, Tin House, and The Oxford American, among many others, and has been featured in anthologies including Black Nature and Villanelles. Hill lives in southwestern Montana and is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Montana.
