Reimagining The West Through Contemporary Ghost Stories
March 12
5:00 - 7 PM
Join us for a special evening of storytelling as we explore the haunting legacy of the American West through contemporary ghost stories. This Flash Fiction Pop-Up, inspired by Dagny Walton's exhibition This Land is Haunted, features local writers presenting original short stories that reimagine the myths of the West through supernatural elements.
Experience a captivating blend of fiction and art as writers delve into themes of colonization, environmental destruction, and the mythic cowboy, all while drawing inspiration from Walton’s evocative artwork. The stories will examine haunting violence, lingering spirits, and the lasting impact of historical injustice in the American West.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear stories that challenge the boundaries between history, myth, and the supernatural—brought to life in the heart of MAM.
Admission is free, and all are welcome!
