Tina Hoggatt And Jeffry Mitchell: Shiny, Happy, Pretty

November 7 2008 - January 31 2009

This exhibition is a collaborative project that is inspired and anchored by a recently completed artist book entitled What is the Panda to You by Tina Hoggatt and Jeffry Mitchell.

This limited edition book will be shown in the Shott Gallery accentuating the collaborative nature of these two artists. The handmade edition of 20 includes letterpress, silkscreen, woodcuts, flock, and collage.

In addition to a collaborative multimedia installation, individual works from each of these artists will be featured in the Silver Gallery. Hoggatt and Mitchell bring very different skills to this exhibition, yet the nature of this project reflects how each artist's expertise is strengthened and complimented through collaboration.

Hoggatt was last featured in a group exhibition, Out of the Bullpen, at MAM in 2003. Mitchell was a resident of the Archie Bray Foundation in 2005 and was recently recognized and featured as a finalist for the Contemporary Northwest Art Awards at the Portland Art Museum.
