Meet MAM's New Executive Director
The Missoula Art Museum (MAM) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Brandon Reintjes as our new Executive Director, effective July 2025.
After a unanimous vote by our Board of Directors, Reintjes steps into the role following more than a decade of dedicated service as MAM’s Senior Curator. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the museum as we build on our 50-year legacy and look forward to a vibrant future.
“Brandon is someone we know well, and he has earned our respect with his keen eye for exceptional artwork and his thoughtful demeanor,” said Matt Gibson, President of MAM’s Board of Directors. “During the search process, he distinguished himself with a clear, articulate grasp of our vision.”
Selected from a competitive pool of international candidates, Reintjes brings a powerful combination of curatorial excellence, deep institutional knowledge, and visionary leadership. His past curatorial roles span several prestigious institutions, including the Montana Museum of Art & Culture, the Speed Art Museum (KY), the Akron Art Museum (OH), and the Holter Museum of Art (MT).
Reintjes holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MA in Curatorial and Critical Studies from the University of Louisville.
“As MAM celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year, it looks ahead with enthusiasm to the vision and leadership Brandon will bring to shape its future,” said the museum in a statement. “Together, MAM remains committed to advancing its mission and deepening its connection to the Missoula community and beyond.”
