This book presents the acclaimed artist Gail Tremblay, Member of Mi'kmaq and Onondaga Nations, and focuses on her cinematic film basketweaving. Tremblay's baskets are known for traditional mastery and subversive, conceptual deconstruction of Hollywood and educational film representation of Indigenous Peoples. The book includes color reproductions of her artwork, several of her original poems, an introductory essay by Anya Montiel, Ph.D, an interview conversation between Tremblay and art historian Cathy Denning, and Tremblay's resume.
