Classes And Workshops
All year long, MAM connects adults, teens, and children of all ages to contemporary art and artists to provide unique and engaging hands-on art experiences. Please register early (if recommended/required) to ensure your space. Registration fee (minus $20) is refundable only if cancellation is made seven days prior to the first class meeting. If you have trouble registering online, please call 406.728.0447 or email info@missoulaartmuseum.org.
Sibling discount: Take 20% off when registering two or more children for the same class/camp!
MAM believes that art should be accessible to everyone! Most of our educational programs are free and scholarships are available when programs require a fee. Please download the scholarship form and email us for more information.
Multi-Age Workshop with Jason Elliott Clark
Join us on February 22, 2025, from 11 AM - 12:30 PM for a hands-on workshop led by exhibiting artist Jason Elliott Clark. This free, all-ages workshop invites participants
to explore drawing and stencil printmaking to create two-dimensional artworks in a fun and supportive environment. After viewing the exhibition, Jason Elliott Clark: Free Land, participants will use colored pencils and stencil printmaking to create compositional environments incorporating three of the prairie keystone species: the beaver, the prairie dog, and the bison.

Art in the Moment, February 3, Session 1
Art in the Moment is a monthly program by the Missoula Art Museum (MAM), in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, designed to foster connection and companionship through art for individuals with early-stage memory loss and their care partners.
Now in its seventh year, this in-person program is led by MAM Docents, France Auvrey-Stiritz or Rosemay Rinaldi and teaching artist Bev Beck Glueckert, allowing participants to view and create art together.
Starting this year, MAM will host Art in the Moment twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Mondays. Each month will focus on a single artist, with unique projects featured at each session (schedule may vary due to holidays). In the month of February we will highlight exhibiting artist Dagny Walton's, This Land is Haunted.

After School Art Adventure
New session beginning in January!
Session 3: Tuesdays: January 7-February 11, 3:45-5:15pm
Ages 6 to 11. Kids create artwork inspired by the exhibitions at MAM.
There will be a short tour and a series of projects related to what the students see.

Calling all middle and high school students! Make art with a professional artist, Patricia Garcia, on Thursdays after school at MAM. Learn different art techniques such as drawing, mixed media, hand-building with clay, and more. View contemporary art in the galleries at MAM to inspire new ideas and new ways to create. Teen Open Studio (TOS)
Winter Session: February 15-April 12, 12:30-3PM // FREE
Every Saturday afternoon, middle and high school students gather to make art in MAM’s classroom with unlimited art supplies! TOS is FREE and brings teens together in a casual and welcoming space to create independently or work collaboratively. Overseen by MAM education staff. Drop-in with a friend!
