Teen Art Project (TAP)

What is community to you?

Spring TAP: Process and Imagination with Professional Artist Patricia Garcia

Apr. 8 through Jun. 6, Thursdays, 3:30 to 6 PM

FREE Art Program, Materials, and Pizza! Rolling registration. Hands-on making and imagination. Art becomes a vehicle to connect, communicate, and manifest ideas. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, enjoy making art, and are a creative thinker, this program is for you. MAM is committed to the next generation of creatives and is a space where teen voices matter.

Summer TAP: Arts & Leadership: Public Art, Poetry, and Visual Design

Jun. 11 to Aug. 8, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30 to 5 PM

What type of beauty does this PLACE unveil for you? Work with professional artists Corky Clairmont, Aspen Decker, Theo Elsworth, Ladypajama, and Chris La Tray to develop site-specific public art installations. No classes Jul. 2 and 4.

Teen Open Studio

Spring Session: Saturdays, Apr. 20 through Jun. 8, 2024

12:30–3 PM // FREE 

Every Saturday afternoon, middle and high school students gather to make art in MAM’s classroom with unlimited art supplies! TOS is FREE and brings teens together in a casual and welcoming space to create independently or work collaboratively. World-class contemporary art in the galleries at MAM can inspire new ideas, new ways to create, and new ways to experience hands-on artmaking. Overseen by museum education staff and interns.
